Why did he do it? Mostly because of haterz:

"I never made money on that... I'm not Kim Kardashian. I don't sell anything in my life to have Twitter."So that's a bummer. Guillen said he'd keep blogging, since he gets paid for it. Guillen seems to have done a better job figuring out Web 2.0 than we have. But no one ever picketed our workplace demanding we be fired for something we said about a decrepit despot, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.
